What was (2005) - the very first idea
Free Software Free Society, is an International Conference on Free Software (under gnu.org and fsf.org definition) and Free Knowledge Movements (as hipatia.net manifesto declares) being organized by Free Software community in Kerala and part of the international one. The conference explores the possibilities offered by Free Software in addressing broader questions such as Media, Culture, Society, Development, Digital Inclusion, Sovereignty and Governance.
What had become

In 200x in Bombay Juan Carlos Gentile and Arun M. met . Arun come from Trivandrum (Kerala - India) and Juan from Siena (Italy). At this forum, the media center was completely working with Free Software . Richard Stallman brought to Mumbay by Hipatia was giving conferences and various interviews . In previous Forums some interventions about phylosophy of free knowledge and free software took place but was not some ideology deep endorsed by the Organizer Comitee .
